Earlier this month, Dr. Daniel Choi traveled to Chicago to take part in the AMA House of Delegates 2025, hosted by the American Medical Association (AMA). Representing the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY) as an alternate delegate, Dr. Choi joined physician leaders from across the country to help shape national healthcare policy.
As a strong advocate for independent physician practice, Dr. Choi participated in key discussions on preserving private medical care, defending patient choice, and protecting clinical autonomy. The annual meeting provides a powerful platform for physicians to vote on resolutions that directly influence the future of healthcare in the United States.
“Independent doctors are essential to preserving patient choice and delivering high-quality care,” said Dr. Choi. “Our voice must remain strong.”
Throughout the multi-day event, delegates addressed pressing issues including reimbursement reform, scope-of-practice legislation, and regulatory barriers facing small practices. Dr. Choi’s contributions helped ensure that the concerns of New York’s independent physicians were heard at a national level.
His involvement in the AMA House of Delegates 2025 reflects Spine Medicine & Surgery of Long Island’s ongoing commitment to physician-led care and meaningful advocacy in healthcare policy.
