On September 27, Spine Medicine & Surgery of Long Island proudly returned as a sponsor of the 11th Annual America’s VetDogs 5K & Dog Walk in Smithtown. The event raises essential funds for America’s VetDogs, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities. These specially trained dogs offer independence, support, and comfort to those who have sacrificed so much in service to others.
This year, our team was proud to not only sponsor the event but also join the walk alongside community members, veterans, and their service dogs. It was a powerful reminder of the bond between people and their animals, and the life-changing impact service dogs have on the lives of those who need them most.
At our booth, we had the opportunity to meet with attendees, share information about spine health, and hand out giveaways that were a hit with both people and their four-legged companions. More importantly, it gave us a chance to connect directly with the community and express our gratitude to the veterans and first responders whose service inspires us every day.
We are honored to continue our involvement with America’s VetDogs and grateful for the opportunity to support a mission that changes lives while strengthening our connection with the Long Island community.
